Over two hundred years ago, President Madison stated "I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents."
Although the forces of freedom have defeated the socialist systems of Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia, we have fallen victim to the very same economic thinking which destroyed freedom in those societies.
The U.S. Government is the largest employer in the nation. Hundreds or thousands of Americans are employed in the task of spending the hard-earned tax dollars of millions of American citizens.
To justify their jobs, the beauracrats create flowery stories of the good created by their benevolence. Their benevolence with our money, that is.
It's time we put a stop to this wasteful squandering of American resources. The hard working men and women of this country deserve to reap the rewards of their labors. It's time we stopped needlessly stealing from the people who work the hardest to make this nation great.
